August 5-7, 2010 Prescribed Burn Workshop at Texas AgriLife Research Station in Sonora, TX.  This 3-day basic rangeland prescribed burning course is a pre-requisite for the advanced course to be held March 3-5, 2011. Taking both these courses and passing the test will complete the educational component for either the Private or Commercial Certified Prescribed Burn Manager. Friday, October 15, 2010 Goliad County Conservation Easement Workshop and Tour. Lantana Ranch in Goliad County will host this free event. The tour of the 6,200 acre ranch will be held in the morning followed by an afternoon workshop on conservation easements and a review of DU and USDA programs.
